ODYSSEY’s website and social media unexpectedly became places for me to explore all sides of journalism over the years. Through them, I’ve had various opportunities to learn the importance of the power of engagement and accessibility in storytelling both across the platforms of web and social media as well as across different forms, from long-form storytelling to multimedia.
Understanding analytics


As the Digital Editor-in-Chief, I try to check our analytics, both for the website and our two main social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook, regularly. By doing this, I’m able to see what works and what doesn’t in terms of engagement, such as what kind of story promotions draw people to our website and what kinds of posts tend to do better on social media.
